Astis Dias Mitt
Astis Dias Mitt
Displaying a beautiful beadwork design on the gauntlet, these leather mittens are named for the Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias. In 1488 Dias sailed around the southernmost tip of Africa, the first European known to have done so.
Astis leather mittens are hand-sewn in the USA from high-quality dark brown suede leather with hand-stitched beadwork on the gauntlet and lined with Polartec® High Loft insulation. Sizing chart seen in photos.
All leather and fur are by products of the food industry.
As each leather mitten is hand-sewn and uses natural materials, every mitten will possess slight variation in the look of the leather, beadwork, and fur trim. Astis embraces these subtle differences and views them as unique mittens more akin to works of art.
